A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree or be a final-year student OR
4 years of professional work experience (full-time, investment-related or not) OR
A combination of professional work experience and education totaling 4 years.

While many CFA Program candidates describe their time studying for the CFA exams as the most difficult, Ibrahim differs. This was the most enjoyable time of his life. I preferred to study in the morning waking up by 4.00 am each day. CFA gave me the opportunity to express myself and its analytical nature stretched my abilities.
I think pursing the CFA program and obtaining the Charter is the best career decision I have ever made. My career goal was to manage assets and I realized I needed the CFA Charter if I were to be successful. Indeed the investment has paid off handsomely. In 2009 when I was starting up the CFA program I was a Compliance Audit Officer at NSSF. By 2012, I had risen to the level of Investment Risk Manager.
Earning the Charter gave me the opportunity to understand the financial industry and asset management. CFA exposed me to global practices and in continuous connection to fast-paced world of global finance. This comes with sacrifices. It’s challenging to prepare for the CFA exams while working but I always started exam preparations early and remained disciplined. This made my CFA journey interesting.
